Kashmir on Sunday experienced the first snowfall of the season along with rain, ending a prolonged dry spell in the region. This marks the beginning of Chillai-Kalan, the harshest 40-day winter period in the valley. According to officials, Gulmarg received around two inches of snow while Sonamarg witnessed snowfall for several hours through the morning.
