The higher reaches of Kashmir received this season’s first snowfall on Friday. Gulmarg in north Kashmir’s Baramulla and Sinthan Top in Anantnag district in the south were among the places that witnessed snowfall. The meteorological department has forecasted moderate to heavy snowfall from October 5 to 7 over higher reaches of Anantnag-Pahalgam, Kulgam, Shopian, Gulmarg and other areas.
