Indian Railways has commissioned the Kavach safety system on the 190-km Prayagraj-Kanpur section of the Delhi-Howrah corridor. The system enables trains to run at speeds up to 160 kmph while improving safety through automatic braking. Over 20,000 km of trials were completed, with Kavach to be expanded to more trains, including Vande Bharat services.
