India’s Gas Turbine Research Establishment (GTRE), a DRDO unit, announced that the Kaveri engine has been approved for inflight testing. Developed for the Ghatak UCAV, the non-afterburning Kaveri engine will undergo real-world evaluations on a flying test bed. This testing aims to assess the engine’s performance under varying flight conditions, system integration and operational reliability.
