Indian Railways' Kazipet Rail Manufacturing Unit is nearing completion and will manufacture 200 modern intercity trains over the next five years. The trains, designed for short-distance travel with frequent stops, will feature automatic doors, regenerative braking, and speeds of up to 130 kmph. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said the project is aimed at boosting affordable and green transport.
