Shiromani Akali Dal leader Harsimrat Kaur Badal, who resigned as Union Minister on Thursday, said that she kept on "pleading" with the government not to go ahead with the three farm bills. "I was acting like a bridge between farmers and the government to clear...fears of farmers," she added. Badal further said she felt "saddened" that her voice wasn't heard.
