Kerala is putting in place detailed epidemic and pandemic preparedness plans across districts, local bodies and institutions, with each blueprint tailored to local health risks, geography and disease patterns instead of a common statewide model. The initiative, shaped by lessons from COVID-19, Nipah and other outbreaks, aims to strengthen early detection and coordinated response.
