The Kerala State Commission for Protection of Child Rights has ordered that Vinodini, a nine-year-old girl from Palakkad who lost her hand due to a government system failure, be given a government job at 18. It also directed full support for her education, medical care and rehabilitation under state schemes after taking suo motu cognisance of the case.
