A government college in Kerala has assigned a separate "TG friendly toilet" for its only transgender student. "There are students who come from orthodox backgrounds, who don't like us using the same toilets as them. Some girls even turned their backs on seeing me," the student explained while talking about the need to have a separate toilet.
