After 28 years on the run, Rajesh Ramachandran, the third accused in a counterfeit currency case, was arrested by Alappuzha Crime Branch at Thiruvananthapuram airport, Kerala. Acting on a lookout notice, officials detained him upon arrival from abroad. The case dates back to 1998 and involved a major fake currency seizure from a printing press in Chengannur.
