The Kerala govt, led by VD Satheesan, has cancelled the previously initiated K-Rail project, a high-speed rail initiative from the former Left Democratic Front administration. This decision was formalised in a cabinet meeting. The new administration raised concerns regarding the project’s financial viability and potential environmental impact, leading to a consensus to discontinue its progress.
