Kerala man gets life imprisonment for killing friend over alcohol

Kollam Additional Sessions Court sentenced 53-year-old Jyothi Kumar to life imprisonment for killing his friend Anil Kumar during a fight over sharing alcohol expenses. The court also imposed a ₹1 lakh fine, with six months' extra imprisonment if unpaid. The incident occurred in September 2020 after the two friends were drinking at Anil's house.
