Kerala General Education Minister V Sivankutty directed a Christian-run private school in Kochi to allow a Muslim Class 8 girl to continue studies wearing a hijab. Sivankutty sought a report from the school authorities for denying her religious rights earlier, which caused her mental distress. A row had erupted after the girl was allegedly denied entry for violating dress code.
