Kerala retained its rank as top state in NITI Aayog's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) India Index 2020-21, while Tamil Nadu and Himachal Pradesh shared the second spot, according to data released on Thursday. Bihar was the worst performer, followed by Jharkhand and Assam. The SDG Index evaluates the progress of states and union territories on social, economic and environmental parameters.
