Kerala suspends biometric authentication for ration shops over coronavirus

The Kerala government has decided to suspend biometric authentication for the public distribution system shops or ration shops in all districts till March 31 amid coronavirus outbreak. Authentication will either be done through one-time password mode or an official will enter the ration card number manually. The state has reported 19 cases so far, including three people who recovered fully.
