Kerala to give 4 kg rice to school students ahead of Onam

Kerala will give four kilos of rice to every student from pre-primary to Class 8 in government and aided schools ahead of Onam. Education Minister N Samsudheen said the distribution will be launched in Thiruvananthapuram. Cashew sector workers will also receive a 20% bonus, with an ₹11,500 advance to be paid by August 23.
