Kerala's Motor Vehicles Department is now employing cameras with artificial intelligence to detect helmet-less riders and drivers without seatbelts. Joint Transport Commissioner, Kerala, Rajeev Puthalath said a trial run of the AI installed in cameras was done in Thiruvananthapuram, during which it was found to be 98% accurate. It will also provide vehicle speed records, Puthalath added.
