Kerala vlogger sexually abuses minor under guise of curing, held

A 34-year-old Kerala vlogger and Islamic academy director, Mohammed Niyas Jouhari, has been arrested for allegedly sexually abusing a 16-year-old girl multiple times between 2025 and 2026. Police said he gained her family's trust by promising to cure her ailments through prayers. The accused, who has over two lakh YouTube subscribers, faces charges under the POCSO Act.
