Yusuff Ali MA, Kerala-born billionaire businessman and Founder of LuLu Hypermarket, has become the first expat to get the United Arab Emirates' first gold card permanent residency. Unlike the long-term visa of 5-10 years, the gold card gives permanent residency of the UAE to the holder. The gold card was provided under a new scheme aimed to attract investors.
