A car carrying a key witness against jailed and suspended TMC leader Shahjahan Sheikh in connection with the attack on ED officials in Sandeshkhali last year was hit by a truck while en route to court for a hearing. The accident left Bholanath Ghosh injured, while his son and the driver of the car were killed.
