KFC Founder's 1st restaurant didn't have fried chicken

Restaurant chain KFC's Founder Colonel Sanders opened his first restaurant in Kentucky service station in 1930, but fried chicken was not on the menu because it took too long to prepare. He later opened Sanders’ Café across the street and began to serve fried chicken. The founder was born on September 9, 1890.
