A banner featuring Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and his predecessor Ruhollah Khomeini was put up by Irani community members in Pune's Loni Kalbhor village during the month of Muharram. A group of Bajrang Dal activists and local journalists objected and filed complaints. Police later removed the banner, stating no prior permission had been taken before it was installed.
