Congress chief and Rajya Sabha LoP Mallikarjun Kharge on Thursday criticised the Centre over police crackdown against protesters at Jantar Mantar on July 20. "Who ordered lathi charge, use of tear gas and pellet guns on students?" Kharge said, highlighting that Union Home Minister Amit Shah gave the orders and demanded his resignation. Kharge accused Centre of "protecting" Amit Shah.
