King Charles exempted from paying inheritance tax on Queen Elizabeth's personal assets

Queen Elizabeth is estimated to have left behind over $500 million in personal assets from her 70 years on the throne. While the bulk of the late Queen's personal wealth will pass to King Charles, he won’t be required to pay any inheritance tax as a rule introduced by the UK government in 1993, exempts sovereign-to-sovereign bequests from inheritance tax.
