King Charles III was proclaimed the new monarch of Canada in a formal ceremony in Ottawa on Saturday. The ceremony took place at the official residence of Canada's Governor General. Charles III automatically became the king of the United Kingdom (UK) and 14 other Commonwealth realms, including Canada, upon the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, on Thursday.
