Anupam Kher revealed he and late actor Satish Kaushik would often go to Kirron Kher and her first husband Gautam Berry's house for dinner. "She would give us ₹50 for a taxi, but we'd travel by bus to save money," he recalled. Anupam stated he and Kirron were best friends for 12 years, adding, "She was my senior in college."
