Team India captain Suryakumar Yadav has said that Ishan Kishan will take the injured Tilak Varma's number three batting position in the first T20I against New Zealand. Suryakumar added that Ishan deserves to play ahead of Shreyas Iyer. Suryakumar stated, "He's been doing well in domestic cricket...and since we've picked him in World Cup squad...I feel he deserves to play."
