American private equity firm KKR has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire 4.17 crore equity shares of JB Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals, representing 54% stake, for ₹3,109 crore. KKR will acquire its stake from the founding Mody family at a purchase price of ₹745 per share. After this transaction, KKR will make an open offer for an additional 26% stake.
