KKR-backed Envision Healthcare and its wholly-owned subsidiaries filed for bankruptcy protection. The firm has estimated assets and liabilities in the range of $1 billion-$10 billion each. Envision entered into a restructuring support agreement for about $7.7-billion debt obligations under which AMSURG, managing ambulatory surgery centres, and Envision Physician Services will be separately owned.
