Kodagu to get new heliport, boosting tourism and air connectivity

Karnataka plans to develop a greenfield heliport in Kodagu to improve air connectivity and boost tourism. The facility is planned on 7.2 acres in Chikkathur village and is being designed to accommodate heavy helicopters. The state also plans aviation facilities in Hampi and Chikkamagaluru to provide better connectivity to major tourist destinations across Karnataka.
