Kolkata, several South Bengal districts are likely to witness heavy to very heavy rainfall this weekend as a fresh low-pressure area is expected to form over the Bay of Bengal. The IMD has issued alerts for multiple districts, warning of intense showers, gusty winds and thunderstorms. Rainfall is expected to continue into next week across both South and North Bengal.
