Kolkata is set to get its first floating market, named 'The Floating Market of Patuli', which is likely to be open for public in January. The 500-metre-long and 60-metre-wide market was developed by the Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority in collaboration with the municipal corporation by transforming a water body in Patuli. The market will house over 200 shops.
