Kolkata winter delayed; December may bring colder days

Kolkata may not experience winter in early November as a Bay of Bengal low-pressure system delays the seasonal chill. The Alipore weather office expects colder conditions across West Bengal from the first or second week of December. Temperatures in Kolkata may remain above normal, while North Bengal could see rainfall and cooler nights as the season gradually changes.
