Kota becomes India’s first completely traffic light-free city after redesigning its entire road network with flyovers, underpasses, ring roads, roundabouts and one-way corridors. Signal-free system has cut travel time, fuel use and accidents. While every city can’t go fully signal-free, places like Indore and Bokaro are adopting AI-based and near signal-free models to improve urban mobility.
