An engineer from Kota has been fighting for a year to get ₹35 refund from IRCTC after the amount was deducted as service tax despite him cancelling the ticket before the GST implementation. According to rules, for any ticket booked in advance for the post-GST period and cancelled before GST implementation, the service tax amount had to be refunded.
