Kotak AMC MD Nilesh Shah urges mutual funds to diversify

Kotak Mahindra Asset Management MD Nilesh Shah said mutual funds should expand beyond equity into debt, hybrid funds, gold, REITs, InvITs and alternative assets. He said wider offerings could give retail investors access to different risk-return profiles, including unlisted investments. Shah expects Indian equities to deliver high-single-digit to low-double-digit returns, rather than 20%-30%.
