KPMG fined ₹210 crore after hundreds of employees cheat in compulsory exams

KPMG has been fined $25 million (nearly ₹210 crore) by the US accounting watchdog Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) following a cheating scandal. Hundreds of employees at KPMG Netherlands from 2017-2022 were found cheating in the tests for the firm's mandatory training courses. The courses cover topics such as US audit standards, professional ethics and independence.
