Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) and five electricity supply companies including BESCOM called off the indefinite strike, which they had planned to begin on Thursday after the Karnataka government on Wednesday announced a 20% hike in wages. As many as 60,000 employees working in the power sector of Karnataka had called for a strike seeking wage revision.
