K'taka minister says over 80,000 TB patients hit by drug shortage

More than 80,000 tuberculosis patients in Karnataka have been hit by the disruption in the supply of medicines for the past three years, state Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao said in a letter to the Union health minister. While blaming the Centre for the crisis, Rao said the medicines were not available in the quantities required.
