K'taka to take up ₹1,500 cr project to treat B'luru's Vrishabhavathi River

The Karnataka government is planning to take up a ₹1,500 crore project to treat the water in Bengaluru's Vrishabhavathi River, which is polluted and not fit for usage, according to state Tourism, Environment and Ecology Minister CP Yogeeshwara. "This scheme aims to treat...wastewater scientifically in three stages to fill tanks and lakes...and can be used for agriculture purposes," he said.
