Kuki protests erupt in Manipur over villager detentions
Violent protests broke out in Manipur's Kangpokpi district Saturday night after Kuki community members alleged six villagers from Kholen were detained by security forces without reason. Agitators burnt tyres, pelted stones, and dug up NH-2 at Motbung. Security forces used tear gas to disperse crowds. The six were later reportedly released.
