Kuwait’s ruling Emir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah passed away on Tuesday at the age of 91, the state media reported. Sheikh Sabah was flown to the US in July for medical treatment following surgery for an unspecified condition in Kuwait. Sheikh Sabah’s designated successor to the throne is his brother, Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf al-Ahmad al-Sabah.
