An independent laboratory has requested the U.S. FDA to recall common benzoyl peroxide acne treatment products, which they say contain high levels of benzene - a known carcinogen. A report from US-based Valisure said Benzene can form as benzoyl peroxide in acne treatment products that are stored or handled at specific temperatures.
