Lack of sleep may harm heart, even in healthy youth: Study

A study from Uppsala University found that just three nights of poor sleep may increase heart disease risk in healthy young men. Sleep loss triggered inflammation-related protein spikes. Dr Jonathan Cedernaes highlighted that even short-term sleep deprivation can affect heart health early in life. While exercise remained beneficial, it added strain when combined with sleep loss.
