Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced that financial aid under the Ladli Behna Yojana will be increased to ₹1,500 per month after Diwali. At present, over 1.27 crore women beneficiaries receive ₹1,250 monthly. Earlier, the CM also announced that a ₹250 "shagun" would be given on Raksha Bandhan as a bonus, in addition to the regular monthly instalment.
