Former Indian Olympic Association (IOA) Secretary-General, Lalit Bhanot, was elected one of the five Vice-Presidents of the Asian Athletics Association (AAA) on Monday, in the polls that took place in China. Bhanot was recommended by the Athletics Federation of India, and contended former IOA Chief Suresh Kalmadi in the elections, both of whom were sentenced in the Commonwealth Games scandal.
