Lamine Yamal becomes youngest player to make 6 FIFA World Cup appearances
Spain forward Lamine Yamal has become the youngest player in FIFA World Cup history to make six appearances, reaching the milestone at 18 years, 11 months and 28 days. He achieved the feat during Spain's FIFA World Cup 2026 quarter-final against Belgium. Earlier, Yamal had become Spain's second-youngest goalscorer in FIFA World Cup history.
