The largest Hindu temple in the US, BAPS Swaminarayan Akshardham, was inaugurated on Sunday in New Jersey. Prior to its inauguration, PM Narendra Modi extended greetings to temple authority saying, "It is an occasion of profound spiritual significance for the vast legion of devotees worldwide." The temple is said to be largest Hindu temple outside India in the modern era.
