Luke Durant, a 36-year-old former Nvidia programmer, has discovered the world's largest prime number having 41,024,320 digits, reports CNN. The number is classified as a Mersenne prime, which means it can be written in the form of 2ᵖ-1. The report said Durant devoted almost a year and spent his own money on this discovery.
