The last rites of Dr D Preethi, a first-year postgraduate student of Kakatiya Medical College in Telangana's Warangal, were held on Monday. Preethi attempted suicide on February 22. Police arrested her senior in connection with the case and said that the messages shared between him and the deceased have established that it was a case of ragging.
